Energy Plus Home Improvements, LLC (“EPHI,” “Energy Plus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. As a family-owned Mid-Michigan contractor serving homeowners since 1971, we take your trust seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit energyplushomeimprovements.com (the “Site”), use our online tools, contact us by phone or text, request an estimate, or engage our services.

By using the Site or submitting information to us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or provide information to us.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you:

  • Request a free estimate, quote, or consultation;
  • Use our online tools, including EP SmartQuote+™, EP Photo Estimator™, EP Project Planner™, the ROI Calculator, or the Financing Calculator;
  • Submit a contact form, financing inquiry, or warranty registration;
  • Schedule an appointment or in-home consultation;
  • Enroll in the EP VIP Loyalty Program™, EP Protection Plan™, EP Protect+™, or EP Maintenance Plan™;
  • Request storm damage inspection or insurance claim assistance;
  • Sign up for our newsletter, promotions, or marketing communications;
  • Call, text, or email our office; or
  • Engage us under a contract for roofing, siding, windows, doors, stone, decks, gutters, gutter guards, insulation, crawlspace encapsulation, bathroom or kitchen remodeling, basement finishing, additions, storm damage repair, or related home improvement services.

This information may include your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, property address, project details, photographs of your property submitted for estimating or AI-powered assessment purposes, insurance carrier and claim information (for storm damage projects), financing pre-qualification information, and any other details you choose to share with us.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address and approximate geographic location;
  • Browser type, device identifiers, operating system, and screen resolution;
  • Referring URL, pages visited, time spent on pages, and click activity;
  • Date and time of access; and
  • Cookie identifiers and similar tracking technology data.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from third parties, including marketing partners, lead-generation services, credit and financing partners, insurance carriers (in connection with storm damage claims), public records, manufacturers (for warranty registration), and service providers that assist in our operations.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for legitimate business purposes, including to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide requested estimates, quotes, and consultations;
  • Generate pricing through EP SmartQuote+™ and assess project scope through EP Photo Estimator™;
  • Schedule, perform, and follow up on home improvement services;
  • Process payments, financing applications, and warranty registrations;
  • Administer the EP Protection Plan™, EP Maintenance Plan™, and EP VIP Loyalty Program™;
  • Assist with insurance claims relating to storm damage repair;
  • Communicate with you about your project status, appointments, and service updates;
  • Send marketing communications, promotions, seasonal offers, and newsletters (where permitted by law);
  • Improve the Site, our products, services, and customer experience;
  • Analyze website traffic, marketing campaign performance, and customer trends;
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights;
  • Prevent fraud and maintain the security of the Site and our operations; and
  • Train and supervise our staff, subcontractors, and sales representatives.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers and Subcontractors. We share information with vetted subcontractors, installers, suppliers, manufacturers, financing partners, payment processors, CRM and marketing platforms, call centers, scheduling software, and other vendors who assist us in operating our business and serving you. These providers are obligated to use the information only as necessary to perform services for EPHI.
  • Manufacturers and Warranty Administrators. We share information necessary to register, administer, and honor manufacturer or labor warranties on your project, including with partners such as GAF, CertainTeed, Atlas, LP SmartSide, Royal, ProVia, Therma-Tru, TAMKO, Trex, TimberTech, Fiberon, Deckorators, Delta, and CleanSpace.
  • Insurance Carriers. When you request storm damage assistance, we may share project documentation, photographs, and estimates with your insurance carrier and its representatives to facilitate your claim.
  • Legal Compliance. We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or government request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.
  • Business Transfers. If EPHI is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, financing, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With Your Consent. We may share information for any other purpose disclosed at the time of collection or with your consent.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies to recognize your device, remember your preferences, analyze Site traffic, and deliver relevant advertising. We may use first-party cookies as well as third-party cookies from analytics and advertising partners, including but not limited to:

  • Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Site Kit;
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel;
  • Microsoft Advertising;
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag;

5. Marketing Communications and Your Choices

If you provide your contact information, you consent to receive informational and marketing communications from EPHI by email, telephone, text message (SMS/MMS), and direct mail, including seasonal promotions, current specials, EP VIP Loyalty Program™ updates, and project follow-ups. You may opt out at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any text message;
  • Clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email;
  • Calling us at (989) 833-1000 during normal business hours (Mon–Thu 8AM–4PM, Fri 8AM–1PM); or
  • Emailing us at info@energyplushomeimprovements.com with the subject line “Unsubscribe.”

Standard message and data rates may apply to text messages. Opting out of marketing communications does not affect transactional communications related to your project, warranty, maintenance plan, or service.

6. Telephone Calls and Text Messages (TCPA)

By providing your telephone number to us, you expressly consent to receive calls and text messages (including those sent using automated technology or prerecorded voice) from EPHI and its authorized representatives at the number provided, regarding estimates, appointments, services, warranties, promotions, and related matters. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may revoke consent at any time using the methods in Section 5.

7. Photographs and EP Photo Estimator™

When you submit photographs of your property — whether through EP Photo Estimator™, by email, by text message, or during an in-home consultation — you grant EPHI permission to use those images for the purposes of preparing your estimate, performing AI-powered assessment, documenting project scope and progress, and administering warranty claims. We will not publish identifiable images of your property in marketing materials without your separate written consent.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge and accept this inherent risk when providing information to us.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide services, administer the EP Protection Plan™ and other lifetime warranties, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and applicable law.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us using the information in Section 15.

11. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, social media platforms, financing partners, manufacturer pages, and review platforms (such as Google, the Better Business Bureau, Facebook, and other rating sites). EPHI is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and contractual exceptions;
  • Opt out of certain uses or disclosures of your information;
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • Lodge a complaint with the applicable regulatory authority.

13. Service Area Notice

EPHI provides home improvement services within an approximately 50-mile service radius from our headquarters in Riverdale, Michigan, covering Alma, Mt. Pleasant, Midland, Saginaw, Bay City, Lansing, and over 140 surrounding Mid-Michigan communities. Information collected through the Site is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of your information in the United States.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or business operations. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
